RowRibbon guide
Get back to your knitting.
Set up a chart
- Tap Import a PDF and choose a file you have permission to use. RowRibbon saves a local copy; it does not alter your original.
- Choose a page and drag the two corners around the grid only. Exclude row numbers, text, and the key. Use 2× or 4× page zoom to place the corners precisely.
- Enter the count of drawn rows, from 1 to 500, and whether the first row is at the bottom or top. Check both row previews against the original, then confirm and save.
- After saving a chart, use Add chart to continue on the last selected page. Add up to four charts; settings remain available in the project menu. Your own Together preview is free; synchronized multi-chart progress requires Pro.
Understand the two row numbers
The large project number is the row you are about to work. After finishing it, tap Finished · next row. Each chart derives its position from that number. Back and Go to move the same project cursor for every chart.
For printed labels 1, 3, 5, the drawn-row count is 3, not 5. Set the printed-label step to 2. Separately choose every second project row if rows are omitted. On those omitted rows, follow your original pattern; RowRibbon does not invent wrong-side instructions.
If the row is wrong or blurry
Check the selected grid edges, drawn-row count, top/bottom direction, and starting position. Every row in a selected chart must have the same height. A preview crossing a grid line means the area or count needs correction. Enlarging a low-resolution scan cannot recover missing detail. The document button on each chart opens its source page for the key and surrounding rows. Done returns to your saved reading position. Change the chart settings from the project menu.
Back up, move, or delete a project
Open the project menu → Export project backup. Save the .rowribbon file in a location you trust. It includes the PDF, chart areas, row settings, and current position. From the library menu, Import a project backup creates a separate project without replacing another one. Export PDF alone does not include row settings.
Delete project removes that project and its local PDF copy after confirmation. Export a backup first if you want to keep it. Deleting the app may remove its local files. iOS device backups depend on your backup settings.
Purchases and restoring
Pro is a non-consumable, one-time purchase. Open Help and settings → RowRibbon Pro → Restore purchases while using the Apple Account that made the purchase. Pending approval does not unlock Pro until Apple confirms it. A refund or revoked purchase does not remove your PDFs or settings; free reading and export remain available.
File limits
PDF: up to 50 MB and 1,000 pages. Project backup: up to 70 MB. Password-protected files, invalid page geometry, unusual PDF page units, and unreadably thin row regions are rejected. Export a standard unlocked PDF from the source application and try again.
